Hi hi...
I am back. Finally can take a breath for a while. It's such a hectic weeks for me. Try to figure out everything perfectly and on time.
I am stressed out but when everything is done and I get a good feedback, it's paid off and I am happy again. hehehe...
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen... I present you D'Cappello.
It's my small business here in my hometown, Solo and has been going on for a month :)
It's kind of a small business specialising in macarons but also produce a bit of cheesecakes and egg tarts.

It's been a while again. I've been so so so busy lately.
I feel it's been a long time since I am this busy, even my boyfriend admit that.
It's weird seeing me so busy T-T
Anyway, I've been trying to open my own business.. small one of course... online of course as I haven't got enough money to open a shop/cafe. Even though I wish someday I will be able to... Amin!
Well, it's a macaron shop. Why do I decide to make macarons not other sweet stuffs? Cos I think there is not much good macarons in Indo. It's not that I am that 100% confident that mine is perfect and taste heavenly but I am trying to offer the good one :)
I have made it for a week and it's getting better and better. Still not as perfect as the one in Melbourne but okayyy lahhhh..... Remember last time I was frustrated because my mom's oven is so small and unstable? Eh, did I post about it before or not yet? Oh well, anyway.. yes, my mom's even is a bit moody and made me suffered in the 1st week. I did a lot of trial and error and everything was just not right. But finally I get it, now I can do it perfectly with that small oven. hehehe...
Yes, I am planning to buy an oven. Gas oven. I know electric oven is more stable and the results is smoother. But in Indonesia, where electricity is so so expensive (considered by Indonesian) and where the electricity itself is unstable, it makes the temperature goes up and down whatever it likes (you actually need stabilizer for this), so my mom and I decided to use gas oven instead. The gas oven itself is cheaper. Wow! So gas it is!
Wish me luck and hope everything will run smoothly! Ciao!

Hi hi...
Can't believe it's September... it's been a while indeed since my last post.
Nothing much happened but I am here in Indonesia for good, my hometown to be exact.
A small but peaceful city called Solo. lol!
I am currently trying to adapt with the new life, new people and new environment.
Maybe it doesn't make sense to you why I need to adapt with my hometown as I was born and grew up here. But trust me, it matters!
For example, I get no more freedom by living with your parents. Second and third and fourth and etc, the citizen, the place, the weather, the goods in supermarket, oh no...!
Anw, enough with the complaints. I am trying to open something here based on my passion.
The big issue is I am a bit dilemma whether I should go to Jakarta and work in the big companies, living surrounded with my bf and best friends or opening my small business in this city. While I haven't got any job, I am trying to realize what I have in mind... which is baking. A lot of trying here, baking in a new country with this humid weather is torturing.
What I have mastered in Melbourne is all now gone. I need to start new from a scratch. I need to understand and get to know with Indonesia's ingredients (I can't even find an exact same egg and castor sugar here). The feeling when you baked something and it turns out to be disaster is torturing. Oh God, help me!
So, yes! This is what I've been struggling of. I tried to bake and make what I make turned out perfectly with the new ingredients. It's a disaster I must say. It's just exploring new things from the very beginning again. You play with the recipe, the ingredients, the weather and a lot lot lot of research again. Arghhh! So frustrating.
But, I know I won't give up until I really find and make the perfect one and finally succeed.
Wish me all the best so I can start my own dream very soon :)

Okay, let me explain the problem here.
My boyfriend planned to come to Melbourne next week for holiday for about 7 - 10 days.
Well, Thanks to Australia Immigration in Jakarta that successfully ruined our sweet, short and romantic holiday plan.
They refused my bf's visa application. Yes, it is a Visitor Visa only.
Why? Because they said:
- his passport does not have a lot of stamps in it (what the? it's a new passport. Geez!).
- his family card is not strong enough to show his relationship with the family in Indonesia which made them think that he will not go back to Indonesia and will stay in Australia illegally.
- his bank account's transaction or history is not stable even the total amount he has is enough for travelling and staying in Australia.
- what else did they say? I even forgot cos it doesn't make sense. In conclusion, they are afraid that my bf is not travelling genuinely and are scared that he will stay in Australia forever. Dohhhh!!!!
Did he provide all documents required? Yes.
Did I sponsor him? Yes, I did!
Does not make any difference apparently.
In my experience applying a Tourist Visa, you can actually explain or even give argument when something is not right. At least you can actually speak to the officer and go through the documents together and if they need additional documents to support the application then they will tell us and we will provide it happily. Apparently, this does not happen in Indonesia or for Australia Visa. Sighhhh!
So once the decision has been made, it is a dead sentence, checkmate and we need to accept with open hands and minds. You can't even request for re-appeal?
Don't ask if we tried to contact the department or not. Many times! And only 1 person replied to our email, maybe there is only 1 person working as a support there. And as expected, the answer is not helpful at all, it's just like an automatic answer based on the template they agree on.
What happen now? No more holiday plan as he can just come here next week, not the week after, not next month or not even the next 2-3 months. Why? Because he needs to work and do his project in Indonesia. See, how sincere he is to go back to Indonesia? I wonder if this kind of issue happens to a lot of people or not.

What is the best motivation to do diet or control your food?
I will say 'Love', 'Anger' and 'Jealousy'.
At least for me it's proven! So how about when you don't have that someone special at the moment or when you are in your peace with no jealousy and not mad to anyone?
Well, this is what I am doing now.
I've been eating a lot lately. And I will have my holiday very soon next month. Ohhh, not to mention, my friend from Indonesia will come in 10 days and of course he will do culinary. Ohhh, I am also going on road trip this weekend so will be eating together with friends for sure. Ahh! Almost forgot, company Christmas dinner which will be on next Monday. Oh man!
Last Sunday, I went to this Indonesian grocery and saw this Indo snack was on sale.
To buy or not to buy?
If I have that motivation I mentioned before, of course I am not buying.
But, I tell you what? Seems like those love or jealousy feeling has not come to me again... yet.

When I heard my friend earning enough money for living and be able to save by working in Indo, for one second I am thinking that going back for good later and working in Indo is not a bad idea.
But guess what happened after that one second, I heard there is a suicide bomber in a church in my hometown.
Geez!
Did I really think to go back to Indo for good?
Lucky, no one else died from the incident except the bomber himself.
But, can you live in a place full of terrorism and feel frightened every time... every where you go?
Seriously, while I am able to stay in other countries, Indo will be my last last last place to live.

Audrey and Gamaliel Tapiheru are Indonesian youtube singer. They usually sing the hits song and upload it into Youtube with the arrangement by themselves. Lately, they were asked to sing some Indonesian national songs for Indonesia independence day on television. Some of the songs are Bengawan Solo, Pantang Mundur and Indonesia Pusaka. I love the songs, I like the way they sing and I adore their voices. Moreover, I am proud that Bengawan Solo was included because Solo is my hometown. hahahaha.... Here are the videos of their performance. Enjoy and look how amazing they are!

Here is another extremely delicious food in Solo, even in Indonesia. I know many people from other cities love it as well, as it is indeed popular. This is what I call 'Heaven on Earth' -> *lebaymodeon
I don't think this cake is easy to be made because as I saw the process of baking and making it, it looks so easy but I know it's actually really hard. You have to get used to it before you can get the best result. Moreover, the pan is not common, it has to be special-made. But, many people said we can use 'Teflon' or normal pan for making it. So... let's see! If I have mood to try it then I'll try to make one. hehehe... Don't know when it will be! LOL!
You have to try it! This is one of the best food in the world.
I went to Prambanan Temple few days ago, Saturday to be exact. I went with two of my friends, Ono and Fani. Actually, that was the first time I went to Prambanan even I live in Solo which is pretty close to it but I never go there before. It's not because I don't want to, well.. actually yeah, there is a little bit of laziness to go there but the most reason is I'm not really interested to these things, temples, arts, histories, cultures. So not like me! hoho... Anyway, finally I went there for the first and the last time... if I'm not forced, I won't go back there again. hahaha... Sorry for being a bad citizen.
Okay, after I watched the temple with my own eyes, I can say that the temple is actually pretty good. It's amazing if you think that people lived long time ago where there was no technology and machine, built such a strong temple and it lasts until now. Imagine that they built it using their own hands, limited materials and limited time. I said limited time because of the history said so. You have to read the story behind it to fully understand the meaning of this temple. Anyway, it's worth to watch in fact there are more temples such as Sweu and Bromo temples. hehehe... The only problem was the weather was so hot that time. But, it's actually because it was located in Indo and Indo has tropic weather so it's usual to experience hot weather. However, hot is better than raining. hahaha.. I couldn't imagine if it was raining on that day. We won't get any good pictures and good mood :)
Moreover, I'm impressed because there were many other tourists inside, locally and internationally. Even I'm not a good citizen, I still feel proud if my country's tourism can attract tourists from many other countries. hehehe... So, thanks to my friend, Ono and Fani, because if he didn't come to Solo, I don't think I will ever go there. Also, thanks to Fani to accompany me too. hehehe... Ohh, almost forge, I have some pictures of our trip.. ;p
