I read a blog from Trissalicious about macaron and driving license and this sounds exactly like me at the moment.

I am going to have my driving license test tomorrow morning and I am nervous as hell.
Not that I can't drive properly but because I've been driving too long... but in my home country not here in Australia.
Why that makes a problem? Because in my country, road laws are made to be broken (well, except the traffic light). So, in fact I've been driving more than 10 years there and with no proper lesson from the certified instructor (my instructor is my mom) who follows all the road rules, I have made all this behaviour planted to my body and to my brain.
When I drive, I drive safely but in my own way. That means I discard all the steps in how to be a good driver, especially when you drive in Western countries but I still do all the basic and necessary steps in driving tho (I'm not that bad).

I had my driving lesson just to make myself sure what I need to do on the day and it just made me more nervous.
Head check, mirror, sign, break, road sign, merge, tram, bicycle. Oh man!
I know all of that things but do I need to literally move my head to check just on the mirror? Cry!!!!

I am seriously scared facing the test tomorrow, I hope I will pass though so I won't deal with it anymore.

And cos I am stressed out, I am baking macaron today.
I feel if I can make it right, I am gonna pass my test tomorrow. Finger crossed!!!!

Anyway, I did try the Italian method today in making my macaron.
This time is Oreo Cheesecake macaron. Sounds yum, isn't it?
I heard that the Italian method produces the best and stable results.
Well, it probably is. My macaron has the stable form and feet, not like last time when I use the French method. Sometimes I get beautiful look macaron but sometimes I don't even dare to take a pic of it. hahaha...

So, I will probably stick with this Italian method from now. But, I still can't get that shiny surface on the top. I noticed it should be glossy but mine looks more matte.
I wonder if this is because of the oreo mixture or I did something wrong. Sigh!

Recipe is adapted from here
In conclusion, I am able to make macaron perfectly today so I do really really hope everything is going to be fine tomorrow and I will get a kind tester.

Wish me luck!

Happy wedding to Ogi and Novi!
It was a pleasure for me to attend your wedding and to witness this lifetime event.
Such an intimate, warm and tearful wedding.
Love the ambiance, the place, the food, the ceremony, the reception and everything...

Our wishes and prayers are with you :)

Feel so good here,
cos Australian have our long weekend.
It was actually yesterday on 26th Jan but luckily there is this rule if pub hol happens to be on the weekend then the next week day will replace it :p

So we have tomorrow off. Yeay!

Happy Australian Day, people! And as a ritual every year, they have the ceremony to respect the elders and the heroics, of course together with the shooting in Shrine of Remembrance.

*how awesome my apartment's view is! Love!
It's 1st December 2012 already here in Melbourne.
Christmas is coming soon. Holiday is coming.
Maybe every one starts to build their own Xmas tree in the house.
I can see all Christmas decorations are up.
Big Christmas trees are everywhere, City Square, shopping malls and office buildings.

Happy Christmas season people!
Enjoy the joy, spirit and happiness :)

Here is the lovely tree from City Square Collins St :)

Melbourne's weather was so nice last weekend. Of course me and my friends didn't waste it away. We basically just hang around city enjoying the sun. Ate a lot, took many pictures, smiled a lot and prayed a lot.

Well, here are some pictures of us :)

This is why I love Melbourne so much ^^
I went to France Cafe just now.... in the middle of exam period, but hello.. it's Saturday night! Who wants to be at home, studying? hoho... Anyway, I cover my material for next exam quite well so I hope it will be OK. Well, we went to Le Petit cafe after our dinner in Carnegie to have some desserts. We choose this cafe because one of my friends said the crepe there is delicious so we just give a try.

*picture taken from here

We ordered 4 types of crepe:
  • Profiterolles: vanilla ice cream, melted chocolate, sliced almonds & whipped cream
  • Exotique: banana, coconut ice cream (I change the flavor to rum&raisin), melted chocolate, coconut flakes
  • Banana Chocolate and Rum
  • Williams: sliced pear, melted chocolate flamed with pear eau de vie
Banana chocolate and rum and williams are flaming crepes. So it basically serve with rum but then the rum will be burned right at top of the crepes. Here is the pics of banana chocolate and rum:

Williams is similar with the one above but has pear inside instead of banana. Unfortunately, I didn't take any other pictures. I can say that I forgot to take my crepe (Exotique) and Profiterolles' pictures because I was amazed by those flaming crepes. hahahaha...

Overall, the place is nice especially at night. It has a romantic environment plus accompanied by French songs :) There are many kinds of crepes that you can have, both salty or sweet crepes. You can enjoy the place more especially when they are making the crepes because the smell is so strong and delicious. The taste? hmmm.... Mine is quite good, but my friends who had banana chocolate & rum said that the rum was little bit too much so the crepe itself tastes too bitter. Maybe if you don't like drinking alcohol so you better not ordering the flaming crepes. To sum up, the place is worth a try but maybe not really often to be visited. Ah, almost forgot... the toilet is cool. It uses French newspaper as the wallpaper. Moreover, people usually come later at night and many French there. It is nice to hear people speak French as their language is impressive.
Today's topic is brunch. hohoho...
I went to have brunch with my best friends this morning in 35 Market St, South Melbourne. The place name is Dead Man Espresso. We got the information from a booklet about popular cafe and coffee in Melbourne. Nice, huh? ;p We arrived there about 11.30 but we got in like 11.40, do you know why? Because finding a space for parking in CBD especially in weekend was really hard. Everywhere was full, and it's not even in CBD. It's South Melbourne. Anyway, we finally found one and went to the cafe.

The place is quite impressive. It has two parts, inside and outside. Of course we chose inside as today was so cold. Actually, everyday is so cold now. I think this winter is colder than last year. I don't even remember how cold the last year's winter because I felt it's not cold at all that time. hahaha... Now, I sound so chesty. Back! The outside design is minimalist yet simple. The inside one is more traditional and made of wood. But, somehow it gives a different feeling. Besides, the decoration is quite cool. One of the example is the lamp is unique.

Pardon me for a bad picture, I know I don't have any skill in photography.

So, the design gives me a good impression at first. Second thing that I love is the service. They serve us so well. You know because some restaurants or cafes have a bad service. Either the waiters/waitresses are not polite or fierce; or sometimes they just treat us badly if we don't order much or stay there to chat even we finish our food. But here, I can say there is no such thing like that. They get the point, the politeness, the serving way and the quality. I said that as well because we experienced it. So, we all finished our food and we just sat there for a moment, chatted. We all drank water after we finished our coffee since in the beginning and we kept asking them more water. The best part is even after we finished and just chatted and talked so loud, we kept asking for water and they didn't have problem with it. They gave the water straight away with good manner and smile. Then, I realized that some people were waiting for tables so I asked my friend to leave. And that moment was when one of my friends said "Wow, they know many people are waiting, but they don't ask us to leave and they still serve us well." ^_^

Third is the food. For me who like western food, I surely love it.

There is not so many menus available and we we had, there are only three types because some of us had the same menu:
  • "BLT" pork belly & spinach puree on brioche w gazpacho.
  • Panzanella - bread salad w heirloom tomatoes, poached eggs & smoked sausages (mine).
  • Omelet of the day (today was leek and kind of cheese, can't remember the name) with pork belly & gluten free bread.
I tasted all of them and they were great except the green part in my food which I don't know what that is. I guess it is chlorophyll, not sure as well. The poached eggs were yummy, the omelet was incredibly delicious (maybe because it had cheese inside), the sausages were tasty and the breads were fine. Overall, I love the place and I love the food. Argh, almost forgot! The coffee was OK as well. Here here here the pictures....!

"BLT"
"Panzanella"
"Omelet with pork belly and breads"
"cafe latte"

We plan to try many places as we can from the booklet. hehehehe... Wait for my next session, guys! :)
OK! This is gonna be the last post for now. I promise!

Today, as if Wednesday is Chadstone's VIP Shopping Party to celebrate the 50th birthday. It is basically just same like previous VIP days. There will be up to 50% discounts in most shops. So, don't miss it!

Here is the discount lists. Anyway, I won't go because I don't have any mood to shop at the moment. I know it is so strange because I love shopping. But, it's good too so I can stay at home and save my money. Besides, I shopped a Ksubi jeans last week when it was in huge sale. I will write a review about it later. So, enjoy the day and enjoy the shopping, guys!
I am currently doing my assignments, but I can't help to write this post. Life is surely challenging me now. With a lot of things to do, many problems are waiting for me. I have to finish my assignments by this week and just for information there are 4 assignments to go and 1 presentation. Even I already finished some of them, the rest are killing me. Luckily, one of my assignment that due on this Friday get an extension. The teacher is being so kind to give all students extension until Monday 10am. hohohoho.... At least I get more time to do my another assignment. This one is so bloody difficult. I wish I don't need to take this subject.

Besides of those assignments business, I have IELTS exam coming up on 5th of June. Urghhhh.... Yeah, I don't pass my last exam. I got only 6,5 for the writing. After IELTS, I will have my last final exam in my bachelor degree. Hopefully this will really be my last exam.... Amin! I really want to graduate as soon as possible. But, I am confused as well what I should do after that. hahaha... By the way, the regulation for applying PR is changed again. It just came out few days ago and will be effective from July 2010. I wish the regulation will give advantage for me so I can apply PR easily. If that so, I will cancel my Master. But, the fact... the government doesn't know my problems and my concerns so of course they don't make it simple and easy for me. The rules become more more more harder for IT students. So, now... I really really don't have any idea how I can get PR here. I will surely get an agent to help me to apply for it after I finish my exam.

The last one is apartment problem. This is driving me crazy as well. I am planning to move to the apartment in city with one of my friends. We planned to take 3 bedrooms apartment because it's cheaper and her sister is coming here as well soon. But, because of that we have to find the third person first for now to live with us until her sister comes next year. Can you imagine how hard it is to find a stranger house mate? I never imagine it before so when I live with it, I am nuts. It is so damn hard!!! I haven't got anyone until now. So please, whoever know someone who wants to move to city for 1 year only... contact me, ASAP !! ^_^ Ah, female only please.. Sometimes I wish that male tenant is accepted because I got some guys who want to move already.

Me and my friends visited a new cafe few days ago. The cafe is called cafe vue and it is located in 401 St Kilda Rd. We went there because I saw it in the Internet and the place looked awesome. The fact? The place was awesome but the food and service were not really satisfying.

The story started from me and my friends only want to eat desserts, not main. But, after the waiter knew we only had desserts, they asked us to move to the side table because the middle table was only for people who eat main. At that time, we are just thinking... WTH? I think they shouldn't do that. Because the place was not really crowded as well, they should let us to seat there. Because of that, Tommy was pissed off and lost his good mood. Then, after we tasted the cake, we were more disappointed. The portion was so small,  not worth enough compare to the price. The taste of the cakes were not really nice as well. I ordered chocolate tart and coffee macaroon. The chocolate tart was too sweet and the macaroon was so small (compare to Linds). My friend, Maria ordered pier tart and chocolate macaroon. Dimas ordered espresso ice cream. The ice cream was said 2 scoops, but when it comes... the scoops were so small. hahahahaha....

Overall, the place is good. The cake design was excellent but the service and the tastes of the food are poor.  Maybe we should try the main menus next time because the main looked and smelled so delicious.

*Some photos are taken from here
I went to my friends' graduation yesterday. They are Pat, Andrea, Yushi and Jonathan. Quite a lot, huh? Pat and Andrea are my friends for several semester, so I really close with them. Every time I go to someone's graduation, I feel sad. I mean I feel happy for them as well, but sad for me. hahaha... I want to graduate as well. I know I will have my own soon (Amin), but still.... And yesterday is the saddest one because Pat, Andrea and Yushi are usually together with me in class. I even got almost all class with Pat and Andrea before. That is why I feel I want to graduate with them too. It will feel more meaningful if you can graduate together with your closest friends, won't it? Even I know since the beginning that I will not graduate together with them because they went to univ one semester before I went to univ. But, somehow... I still feel joyless.

During this semester, I often wish that they can be with me in class like we used to be. I miss how we were in class, joked around, sharing and talked bullshit, did assignment together until we had to sleep over in someone's house but ended up playing wii, had lunch together and skipped class together. Arghhhhhhh! I think I am being so pathetic now. Maybe, I also feel sadder because I don't know when I can meet then again together. Pat is not from my country and he will go back for good to his country. So this is the last time I will see him. Moreover, Andrea also struggles with his own business, starting from TR until looking for job. So, yeah... I feel like I am going to lose my best-friends. Now, I know why I love my univ-life so much... because I have and surrounded by such of good friends, even they are really annoying and disturbing sometimes ;p
But, believe me, you will miss that annoying part when you pass it already. I wish they will take Master again with me here.... :(

Anyway, congratulations for all of you, especially for Pat and Andrea. I mean it from the deepest of my heart. hahahaha... (lebay mode: ON). Wish all of you the best in the future :)
Hope we can meet each other again later... When we are adult already... when we are success already or even when we have our own family already ^^

One thing that I don't like by living in Melbourne... there are so many delicious food here. Arghhh!!
It makes me so desperate. In one side, I love food so I really want to try every food here. But, on the other hand, I am not a type of skinny girl that won't gain any weight if eating too much. I have to control my appetite and my food portion in order to keep my weight normal. *sigh.. I wish I can eat as much as I want without getting fat. Yes, I am so jealous with them who can eat a lot and still get a nice body T-T

I already lost some of my weights when I went back to Indo last time, and I realized as well that the shape of my face was sharp already. Even, many friends of mine said that also. But do you know what? After I got back here in Melbourne, the first two weeks is OK. But, now, after 3months, I don't know why but the shape of my face is changed already. It is not as sharp as before. Hiks... I tried to exercise and keep my portion low, but who can resist such a good food? I show you some yummy food in Melbourne ^^

Chocolate and Milk Tea with Pearl
The Happy Cup one is the best for milk tea :)
Bubble tea here is better than in Indo, I can't find any in Indo that has the same even similar taste like here.

Chocolate Souffle from Max Brenner
Belgian Waffle from Max Brenner

I ate ice cream from Il Dolce Freddo (roche flavor is the most popular one)

Now, see? What I said! I will never be able to get think if I see these kind of food here everyday. hahahaha... In addition, all of my friends like to eat and try every restaurant in Melbourne. Too bad for me! I really love food and dessert. hahaha... There are still many more yummy food in Melbourne. If you come to Melbourne, don't forget to try them >.<

This post's title won't be strange for they who live or want to live in Australia.
Yeah, it's Australia English Standard for applying any visa or immigration purpose.
Some of them consider it easy to pass it, but some even have to repeat it for 5 times and not even pass it.
I know you will think 'Is it that hard? Really?' after you read my sentence above.
I also think that when I found that many people have to go back to my country because they don't pass IELTS so they don't be able to apply for Permanent Resident.

We need band 7 to apply for PR, band 6 for TR.
I took the test twice until now. First is when I went here for the first time three years ago and I pass it directly to be able to go to Diploma part 1 as we only need band 5.5 for part 1.
The second one is last week and I am still waiting for the result. My heart is racing now and I keep thinking whether I can pass it or not. Some of my friends got their results last Friday and they all don't pass. The most annoying part of IELTS is even if you get 8 for one of the categories (either reading, writing, listening or speaking), but you also get 6 or even 6.5 in one of the categories, you will be failed. Sometimes, it upsets many people.

Now, I can only hope and pray until my result is out which is this Friday. Urghhhh....!!

I was doing many useless things today.
The plan was:
  • Caulfield at 11am, doing assignment with my group mate until 2pm.
  • doing assignment with other friends from 2pm until evening.
But, the fact was not like that. Okay, group meeting was done. Doing assignment? Not at all. hahahaha...
I know I should be doing it now instead of blogging. But... forgive me, blogging is more interesting than doing assignment. Actually, everything is more interesting than doing assignment. And I did most of them! Blogging, eating, facebook-ing, twitter-ing, youtube-ing, calling, shopping. hohohoho...
The worst is instead of doing assignment now, I really want to go to city to hang around with my friends.

You know what is my biggest wish now??!!
I wish that I can have a desire to write report for my assignment like I have a desire to blog like now. --"
It's really true that my brain and body are working really well when the time is there. When the time shows it's last minute already, there you go...
I'm wondering how can one of my friends always get the extension for his assignments.
ALWAYS! NOT RARELY! Strange, isn't it? Because based on my knowledge, it is so hard to get the extension from Monash. Does different campus location have different policy? Unfair!

Anyway, being lazy to do the assignments is one of the reasons that I don't want to take master in the first place before. I'm bored of school. I really want to work. Sometimes, I imagine what I will look like in work environment. I always look at people in city, especially the one who's working in the office (read : good companies with a huge office ;p). They all are using blazer, pants, skirt and stiletto.
Hmmm.... intelligente elegantooooo! :p

Wish that I can be like them one day. And... in order to achieve that, I have to graduate with good mark. In order to graduate with good mark, I have to do my assignment now. Urgghhh!! Maybe Master is not a good idea for me. Inside my heart, I want to do Master but if I remember that there are more assignments and exams in Master, I want to work directly. Life is so hard...
OK, ciao!
Finally, I'm home...
This week is a busy week.
A week that made me couldn't sleep properly.
A week that made me slept outside my room for 2 nights.
A tiring week.

I spent the night at my best-friends' house last Wednesday because we planned to go to airport in Thursday morning. Two of my friends went back to Indo that day for easter break. Feel weird though, went back in Easter because it's only 1 week holiday. But many people did that this year. I'm wondering what their reasons are.
My friends personally went back because... one get her sister's sweet seventeen birthday and other celebrates the birth of his niece. Fiuhhh... We spent the night means we wouldn't get enough sleep. We talked, played, ate, sang, etc. And we got shock news too that night.

Dimas, one of the house's owner said he won't go back to Melbourne anymore after this holiday. Even I saw him crying before he said that to us. We were really shock and sad. He said he clashed with his father about the school problem and his father asked him to go back to Indo for good 'now'. We tried to ask, give advice, convince him to talk to his father. The situation was really bad and uncomfortable, but my other friend, Erick, said to his girlfriend 'I think he lied' and his girlfriend asked Dimas directly 'Are u lying?', but he only said 'Ask Ivan if you don't believe'. And it's because I saw him crying before so I assumed he won't be lying.

Then.... he shared shared and shared... until he said 'Actually, I still want to share more but I'm afraid that what Erick said is true..' --"
My friends hit him many times and yelled at him so loud... and you know what I did? I was loading about what actually happen that time. Stupid me! I still did not realize that it was April Fool. Grrrrrrr!!! But, that is kind of fun. We ended up sleep for 1 hour and went to airport at 7.15am. hahahaha....

The next day which is yesterday, I already had an appointment with my other friends to have dim sum in Dockland. So... I ended up in city again until night. Mostly doing nothing in city. Dim sum in the morning, enjoyed Dockland a bit, church in the afternoon, rested for a while, cafe-ing with more friends, rested for a while, dinner with another friends until midnight. The worst part was my friend successfully persuaded me to sleep over in her house in city. hahaha... Crazy, right?! But fun enough because I got new friends too. hehehehe... But, wait... there are more... I had appointment with my friends in suburb to play badminton this afternoon at 1pm. Means I have to go back in the morning from city to Clayton and there is no train service between Oakleigh to Springvalle. METRO!! Huh....

Enough for this week! It's only the beginning of the easter break holiday.Time to do assignments next week, but really lazy to do it. Really want to go shopping, swim, play badminton again, watch movie, etc. Of course lah! Those are more more more interesting to do in holiday rather than doing assignments :(
But, can't do that though. Assignments are really urgent. Still have to go to et cetera as well on Friday. Ooohh... it's OK. I will enjoy it, just... good luck for me! :)

This time is about 2010 F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne. It held from 26-28 March 2010 in Albert Park. I watched only the final race on Sunday.

The race started with Sebastian Vettel in position 1, then Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, etc. The race was pretty challenging because we got an accident already in the first lap that led to safety car for several laps. After that, there were some more accidents happen in the race, even it's not a danger accident for the drivers but it still made some drivers went out from the race. Many people supported Mark Webber and Lewis Hamilton. I guessed they support Mark Webber because he's Australian, and Hamilton was good maybe but I don't like him. hahahaha...

For me personally, I don't really into the race yesterday even I love watching F1. I already like to watch F1 since Junior High School. The reason I don't really excited for the race lately because my racer is not there. huhuhu... I used to support Kimi Raikkonen. I supported him when he was in McLaren Mercedes and until he moved to Ferrari. But now, he is not racing in F1 anymore. I'm so sad. That's why I didn't have any racer to be supported in the race yesterday. I know there are many racers, 22 if I'm not wrong but still I can't support only one of them like I used to support Kimi.

Anyway, I got the good spot in the race. I could see the car clearly even it's too fast so you can only see it for seconds. hahahaha... But, it was so cool. The experience.... the sounds... the racer... the circuit. Finally, after so many years I can watch the real race. hahaha.. not only from TV. Ahhh.. maybe I should watch F1 since I came here 3 years ago so I will be able to watch Kimi. Let the past be past... :)
Who know he will race again in F1 next year.. hehehehe...

Back to the race, Vettel couldn't finish the race because he went out in the middle of the race. Firstly, people thought that it's his fault. A stupid mistake that made him splayed, but after all it's not his mistake. There was something wrong with his car, because it's suddenly shaking at that time and made him losing control. So, everyone stopped blaming him. hahaha... But, there was an incident that made Australian people crying...
When the race was just 3 or 4 laps to finish, Webber was accidentally crash Hamilton and made Hamilton from position 3 became 6. For Webber, he was in position 4 (if I'm not wrong) became 9. That made Alonso took the advantage and he finished in position 4. The first position was got by Jenson Button from England, then Kubica in second, then Massa in third position.

When it finished, me and my friends walked to the start position and got so many people were there especially from England because Button won the race. They brought the flag and sang British national song. Then... suddenly, the Australian supporters got annoyed and shout 'Just let them win because they can't win the fucking cricket'. My friends and I were shocked but then laughed out loud. That's so funny and smart. hahahaha... You know why? Because Australia win the cricket most the time beating England.

So, overall... the race was good, nice, challenging and in-expectable. I don't regret it though even Kimi was not there. hehehe.. I got the experience ^_^
Hey hey...
I watched Lady Gaga's concert in Melbourne yesterday.
It was so so so coooollll!
She is so rock! It's really worth it spending the money for the ticket, not regret at all.

It was in Rod Laver Arena, Richmond. And the stadium was so full.
Yesterday was the second show of her. The day before yesterday was the first one. I heard that she will come back again to Melbourne on April to do the third show, doesn't she? It's because the ticket all are sold out and there are still many people want to watch her. Even, yesterday, there is someone, a girl, who watched the concert 5th times. She went to all Gaga's concert in Australia. Crazy, huh? And Gaga knew about it, she said it and pointed at her yesterday in the concert.
The girl must be so happy. hehehehe...

Look at the pictures, look at how full it is and how amazing she is.

waiting for the show

The dress is so cool, can move and change the form
